01 · Decision guide
Start with one employee journey
Choose onboarding, leave approvals, employee records or exits as an initial focus. Walk through a real example with HR, a manager and an employee. Record where information is re-entered, approvals stall or responsibility is unclear. A system should support an agreed process rather than preserve an avoidable workaround.
- Define the trigger, required information, approver and completion condition.
- Agree what employees can do themselves and what HR must review.
- Decide which exceptions need escalation and who will resolve them.
02 · Decision guide
Prepare data and permissions
Identify the records needed for the first rollout and who is responsible for their quality. Reconcile duplicates and missing fields before migration. Limit access by role, and test what an employee, manager and HR administrator can see and change. Use approved secure transfer methods for records; do not send employee files in an initial sales enquiry.
- Create a field map and nominate the owner of each source.
- Sample-check imported records and reconcile the agreed totals.
- Test both permitted actions and actions each role must be unable to perform.

Select software through working scenarios
Compare the required workflow with the product’s currently available functionality. Ask for a demonstration using a representative scenario, including a correction or exception. Confirm any integration, reporting and implementation responsibilities in writing. HR consulting and a software subscription solve different parts of the problem.
- Aura HRMS is the CHRO-focused expression of the Conduit family, with extended HR operating functionality and standalone HR use.
- Conduit for GCC provides separate GCC Head and CHRO role journeys; confirm current product stage and fit during a demonstration.
- Do not assume payroll processing, statutory filings or specialist advice are included in an HRMS subscription.
04 · Decision guide
Pilot, train and support the rollout
Start with a representative group and check the complete journey: record creation, access, approval, reporting and correction. Make the support route visible. Assign ownership for configuration changes and data maintenance after go-live so the initial improvement does not fade.
- Agree acceptance checks before import or configuration.
- Prepare short role-specific guidance for employees, managers and HR.
- Track missing records, overdue approvals, completion time and support questions; compare with the starting position.
